WHAT
WE THOUGHT OF IT:
What do you get when you make a movie that is true to a wonderful
book, add some great acting, unbelievable scenery and costumes,
frighteningly real make up and some of the best special effects
technology can achieve ? The answer is MAGIC!
Lord of the Rings has been hyped and merchandized so viciously
that we have come to expect a movie that couldn't possibly deliver.
Well, it does. So maybe it could have been a bit shorter at times
and total suspension of disbelief is required to fully enjoy the
movie, but heck, what adventure film doesn't demand the same from
its viewers? The music serves as the perfect background for a
3 hour long trip into the realms of the mind of J.R.R Tolkien,
where you become part of that impossible world to the point that
the trip back to earth is not only frustrating but totally dull.
Do we really have to wait for another year before the second part
?
